A British WWII Mk II steel Civil Defence Home Front helmet, painted black. Labelled EKCO for the EKCO radio factory in Southend (there was also a factory in Wiltshire), marked 'RD' (to the rear) possibly for radio or radar department and 'M' (to the front) for messenger. Complete with liner and chinstrap, numbered 2404 under brim. One of many being sold from a private collection.
